Wait until people get tired of posting the same thing over and over on FB. There's not a archive you can search. Forums are a different story. They have a searchable data, so you can see previous posts on the subject.

This same thing happened to the Vintage bus group about 10 years ago when the samba chat groups became prevalent. That Type 2 group has pretty much dried up completely, which is one reason why I originally joined the vanagon list.
I am recently a member of the FB group, & you are right about the newbies feeling less looked down on there, but give it time! That site also is more "connective' in that you can post pics, so volks can feel your pain, etc. So far, way less technical info to wade thru, good or bad, so amazingly enough it is more of a social link.Heaven forbid that there be more "noise"!
