Thanks Dennis. Markings on the thermostat: Made In Germany. BTT 2.112 87 J9 The old radiator may have been a little clogged. Don't know how debris got in the cooling system. I started this cooling system project a while ago; that thermostat sat open to the air for a while. Rust because of that?
