This is in the archives but I will say it again one more time. The very best way to deal with this problem is to remove the old contact paper using a heat gun or hair dryer. Leave the glue residue on the surface. Get a can of latex paint mixed at your local hardware where they have a scanner. Take a sample of the colour to them and they will get it dead on. Then paint the surface using a roller, not a brush unless you can’t get in all the corers with the roller. The result will look exactly like the original but will not peel off, EVER ! Works perfectly for all the surfaces where that contact paper Westfalia used is peeling off or damaged.
