I dunno. Traffic on the FB groups has been steadily increasing, and think of how many times you see "check out this thread on the Samba" in these posts. It's just the way people expect the internet to work these days. There may be fewer and fewer Vanagons, but there are also fewer and fewer older owners. Somebody on one of the FB groups recently mentioned "that other forum" where people were prickly and unhelpful to newbies ... wonder who they were talking about? :/ It's unfortunate, in that there are several people that appear to use this group exclusively that make up what I consider to be the main brain trust as to deep info on these vans. I think this trend has those individuals becoming increasingly isolated from those that could use their help the most.
