Dave,

I missed the first part of this thread, but I think I had something similar happen to my van while driving from Virginia to Rochester, NY. I rolled into Rochester on a snowy evening at 10 PM, stopped at a stop light, then when the light turned green, my van wouldn't go anywhere. It turned out that the bolts holding the axle to the differential were loose/broken. Check them. It's a simple, quick, easy check, and an easier fix if that's what the problem is. And if you find them loose and tighten them, you've saved yourself some time/money if someone insists it's the CVs without checking them.

Good luck! Marc Perdue
