Were you trying to ask ~

If the hemisphere portion of the shift lever bushing that has the retaining tabs to the upper spring is PrettyMuch MessedUp,

would that be a good indication as to why my 85 gl won't go into reverse or hardly into 1st and 2nd?

Would not be as much an indication as it MostPossibly TheCause ~ You MayPossibly need ~
