Subject: 86 Westfalia Faucet
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

Afternoon all, I've been digging deeper into a problem i wrote about about a month ago. My faucet has lost its get up and go...

After dismantling the Shru-flo, making sure that the values and all tubing were free of restrictions and checking the wiring for defects, I made the jump and bought a new submersible pump which i installed last week. Still no flo...

I can hear that the pump is trying to do something - there's a faint hum coming from the tank when i turn on the faucet.

I have a gowesty auxillary battery kit mounted behind the driver seat and i can hear a distinctive "clunk" coming from the isolator when i turn on the faucet. I dont recall this clunk before I started having problems with the water.

I assume that the amount of power required to run the pump is the 12v. I'm only measuring 3.5 volts when i flip the faucet on.

Any opinions on whether i need a new 2nd battery relay (the original to the van as far as i know) or has the isolator gone bad? both?

thanks! jvk
