Funny how this thread has been revived, but I recently saw a photo on-line of a '90 Vanagon in BC that had the same Vanagon emblem that our '91 has, and below it, a 'Multivan' emblem the same length and height. I think the two screws in our ours were put there by a previous owner to fill the holes when the 'Multivan' emblem went missing.

The screws are about as far apart as the holding 'pegs' for the Vanagon emblem. I'm wondering what the second emblem would have been - Transporter? Weekender? Multivan? Westfalia?
