I ran a line from the light switch to the key in the ignition buzzer (with
a diode to stop the electrons going the wrong way), so if I open the door
with the lights on, it buzzes.  I don't see why you couldn't do the same
thing with the handbrake warning light - you'd wire it up so the buzzer
runs when the light is on (ie when the key is in the ignition).
