I didn't want to turn the post into an epic novel.
I could mention more items in the resto, but it would get long.
But I'll add that the seats are all impeccable - no springs sticking in
your back.
Carpet, camping stuff, tent, beds... *like new*
After nursing my own vanagon back to health at great cost - if I had it to
do over I would take out a loan and buy one of these TDIs... Just that
California smog exemption is worth $100/year.
I didn't crawl underneath because it was raining. I'm quite confident that
Herr Falkenberg would not sell the vans with dried out bushings and boots.
From what I've seen, a reconditioned/restored/renovated westfalia at
GoWesty is in the ballpark of $25,000.
To each his own road.
