of course there's the ole 'very poor man's limited slip diff' ... you put the parking brake on about 55 %.. which equualizes the drive to both rear wheels 'artificially' ...sometimes that will actually work a little and create forward progress, is if one wheel is spinning and the other not.

In my experience the majority of people .. if they hear 'just drive it on the starter' ...can't begin to figure out what that means or how to do it.

I just had to do that yesterday in a case of self-rescue. in a really bad case....take the spark plugs out so the starter can spin the engine easier.
