I once used Reliable Auto Carriers without any problems. (New Jersey to
Oregon) They were reasonable and they brought me a 944, just as we
arranged...no horror stories.
It was motorless, the driver called me from Pendelton as he approached
and I took my car trailer down and met him at the I-84 intersection at The
Dalles. We actually rolled the car off his trailer and right into
mine....scary manuever, trying to conserve inertia and yet not scrape the
body.
This was over ten years ago, so this isn't a review of their current
operation, but at that time I had zero issues with them
Like almost everything else, worker-wise, the Corporate Overlords have
chipped-away at the truck operator's possible profits till most of these
operators in the Big Rigs, they can't really afford to waste any time. I
surmise that may be the reason there are horror stories about the auto
transport experience. The Car transport drivers have a lot of potential
time waste, delivering multiple vehicles to customers who probably haven't
much experience.
