I recently replaced part of this brown wire from sensor. This wire was held to the sensor with a small type of cable strap. image of repair showing similar: http://tinyurl.com/lq2zqtw If that strap was OEM, does it fail over time or somehow disappear thus allowing the wire to "hang loose" and get damaged? (IIRC, it's close to the crank pulley) The wire I replaced had a crack in the casing (cover) so did the repair while changing the coolant pump etc. Neil.
