Last week I had the coolant warning light/buzzer going off after the mechanic changed the leaking rear seal, oil cover plate on my new GOWESTY engine (3400 miles on it). I finally figured out why it was going off. They never added coolant to replace the amount they lost on the seal replacement.
I topped the coolant off and all was great for the next 30 miles. Took my wife for a ride in our VW and she could hear the oil buzzer going off. I can't hear that pitch of sound. Then the oil light started to go off intermittently. This all after about 100 miles on the repair. Now what! Could the low oil pressure sensor wire be broken ? I know it feels brittle. The low pressure sensor is new. Wires are on it are ok, oil is 20/50 and 1/2 on dip stick. Temperature of engine is mid range and correct.  1988GL Westy vanagon. 
Any help/suggestions would be great!
