So - Dennis scores another 100 points. I took off the top to the instrument cluster and while admiring the brake / clutch fluid reservoir (and yes I still have my plastic spill guard) I reached behind the tachometer and began feeling around and lightly pushing on the back of the tach and presto...dash lights came on...not sure exactly what was wrong however the issue seems to be temporarily remedied. I will see how long this lasts - most likely a clever gremlin lurking behind the tachometer and waiting to play games with me a few days from now.

On another note - I recently replaced my grill and rectangular headlights with the SA set-up....and although I cannot provide specifics related to wattage or foot candles or bulb types...I can say "holy macaroni what a noticeable improvement". I am very happy with the upgrade especially on low beam which really illuminates well - I get the sense that some folks might think the brights are on even though they are off.

Happy days are here again.

Bruce
