If the divergence between the beams is more than it should be it
would be a worse problem on vehicles with lower-mounted lights -- to
carry it to the absurd, think how small the angle would have to be if
the lights were three inches off the deck.  I've been reading about
this for many years but nobody seems to have worked out the
geometry.  Or else of course I have my head where the sun reacheth
not, which has happened before.
