Finally got the VDO electric oil pressure gauge installed on my 88 Westy. It's an oil pressure adaptor plate from Ken at Van-Again along with the VDO gauge from Bus Depot. Took awhile to install at 12 degrees out laying on my back on the dirt floor of my barn. Alias frost butt! Plenty of hot coffee during a break. Started it up and it is reading between 40-60 psi. To much snow outside to drive test now. Hopefully in a few days it will be better conditions. Now I have the 2 pressure gauges working and the VDO. All this should tell me what is going on with the pressure switches/buzzers etc. Thanks for all the input.

>> Here we go, before reading all the great input from you folks about the oil pressure warning light/buzzer noise I ordered VDO Electric gauge kit from Bus Depot. I was told it had instruction on how to install the kit for my 1988 vanagon Westy. Opened the carton and well yes what it only had was a generic version from VDO not specific for my vehicle stuck inside the plastic cover. I am at a lost on how to install it. I had a great article from Ken at vanagain.com but got it after the fact of ordering the kit. He has this really nice rubber extension in his kit. To bad it didn't see this first. Can't return electrical stuff
