No one simply brings an engine back to the supplier. Removal and
re-installation along with round trip shipping make this a $2k decision
someone has to commit to.

Good thought! GOWESTY is in California we live in the Northeast Kingdom
section of Vermont.
Onto Burlington and Noah's shop now before more snow shows up.

installed to get a connection to your VDO gauge....I found one of those came
to me out of the package with somewhat restricted oil passages...the
castings of the sandwich plate had not been properly cleaned up when it was
taken from the molds and there was a partially restricted area in the plate
itself. Since your motor was indicating low OP before you added the plate
and gauge, this is probably not the main issue, but when you do take the
motor to GO Westie for inspection and diagnosing you should ask them to
check the sandwich plate adapter when they are inside....

You seem to have done all the right things to assure yourself that what your
gauges buzzers and lights say is true. You seem to have Low Oil Pressure
with that motor. If it was only the stock WBX OP indicators lighting and
buzzing...one might have reason to doubt those (you may have done, and
added the real OP gauge) but you are seeing the same indications from both
your aftermarket and your WBX gauges and it seems unlikely that two
different systems indicating the same conditions could both be indicating
falsely.

without much doubt, to be showing inadequate oil pressure. If it was my
motor I would be consulting with the shop that sold it to me, I've not
dealt with Go Westie but I understand from reading here for some time that
they are considered to be reputable.. I'd try to make arrangements with
them to take care of this problem...It's an actual problem, if you are
worrying about it. Your new expensive motor is at the low end of the range
for acceptable oil pressure. I'd take it back to them and ask them to get
it right. They should take care of the issues for you.

same results happening.
