Forty Two years ago I went solo at Doncaster Aero Club after only seven hours. Never will forget it as I made the unforgivable sin on landing. Managed to have the very loose, swampy center of the landing strip (a nice field complete with cattle) act as a "magnet" for the Cessna 150. Right through the middle I went. So the rest of my booked "time" that morning was spent washing the muck off the plane. 

Happy days and so far it always seemed like yesterday.  Sadly no more flying for me due to all kinds of medical junk.
