So true! On all three vans I've owned or worked on ALL the screw bosses have split out. I've repaired them with epoxy putty with good results, but for the '87 it will be a new one from GW, hopefully made with better quality plastic. I also added one on the passenger side on my '84 years ago. $40 is kind of pricey, but GW is currently out of stock.

you can get new from GW.. used one always busted screw spot....

and yes as from Ben.. take good measurements for the passenger door.. the glove box...
