Son's considering a light tint on the '87's rear windows

As I get older, I find tint too difficult to see out of at night- even dark days. We went with Temptrol. It is a silver fabric my wife sewed to the outside of our curtains. Reflective, excludes light-black out in broad daylight, adds some insulation for cool weather and keeps interior much cooler in hot sunlight. Here's a link. Reasonably priced IMHO.
