I'm flying a '64 Piper 140 (w/160HP upgrade). No toe brakes :) It's been an absolute blast, and something I've wanted to do for 20 years. I decided a long time ago I wouldn't do it until I could buy the plane. Now I own half an aircraft and determined to get licensed by next summer! I considered a Mooney, but thought it might be a bit much for a trainer. I like the idea of 150mph on 11gph.

I've made a list an will certainly look anyone up if I get out their way. Vise-versa any fellow pilot/vanagon owner is always welcome here! I've got a large driveway and CYSA is only 15 minutes away. Maybe the pilots in our group need to get together and time-share our vanagons so we have wheels at the other end!

Michael is correct about meeting interesting people around small airports. Already came across quite a few. Most are always very friendly and helpful. Sunday morning seems to be the "boys" club here...
