How would other drivers on the road be able to know if you are in a '79 or a '90 Vanagon ~

I get Looks, Waves, Smiles & ThumbsUp Alot in my '90Westy & mostly from the YoungerSet ~ Just last Fri' eve'

I pulled into a McD's to pick up a couple of ApplePies for a RoadTrip I was to do on Sat' & I looked up to see 3

LateTeens Guys that were sitting directly in front of my parking spot in a window booth, all looking @ my Van

with excited looks & smiles & alot of chatting going on ~ & I got 3 ThumbsUp as I waved ~

But ~ 1 of my Favs ~ May have told this 1 before but Love to ReTell It ~

A few years back, up in Ely, Minnesota, I was on my way in to pay for some gas & pick up some snacks & was

met at the door by a very cute (OK~ DropDeadGorgeous) blue eyed blonde (18-22 maybe) who was on her way

out ~ I held the door for her ~ She smiled & as she passed She said "Is that your VDub?" ~ "Yup" I replied ~

" Very cool ride indeed, have fun " She said & proceed out to join Her YoungHandsomeMaleCompanion at their

ToyotaPickUp ~~ Quite shocked was I ~ Indeed! ~~ Grinned a 60Something grin for quite awhile ~
