You can add either or even both a limited slip type and a full locker type to the 094 and 091/1 trannys. Any VW van tranny rebuilder specialist can hook you up. I would go with the limited slip type for simplicity sake. The full locker type is actuated by engine vacuum on Syncros.

A limited slip was offered as a factory option in 094 5 speeds and 091/1 4 speeds but not AFAIK in US models. There is an aftermarket version or two as well.
