I believe you're referring to the two outer terminals on the coil.

Yes, there's little confusion there. Since the strap orients the coil as it's attached to the side of the engine compartment, there's no confusion between the terminals.

The "top" terminal (after the coil is mounted) has two wires attached. Those two spade connectors are carried in a nylon connector. I had to move the dual spade tab from the old coil, because the new coil had those tabs spaced more widely. I believe that's the + terminal, as I measured 12.5V there with the ignition on.

The "bottom" terminal has three wires attached. Those three spade connectors were independent. That's the - terminal, I believe. That's where I measured 2.9K ohms to the center post on the old coil vs. 3.9K ohms on the new coil.

I just plugged all them wires back in where they came off of.
