Subject: Engine Test stand
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

Hey all,

I have an older 003 Automatic transmission that I boxed up to sell (it's beautiful) but then I started thinking, is it possible to use this as an engine build/test stand? I don't have a spare late model auto to use and I'm thinking this would be a good use for it if it will mate and and function properly. Isn't the 003 the same auto trans they used on air cooled Loafs or was that the 010? Now that I write that, I'm second guessing myself and I think the bus did have the 010. Either way, anyone know if an 003 could be used to mount and run a late model wasser boxer during a build or start up?

Thanks,

TJ
