RE: Cruise Only Good On The Flat I have to disagree with the statement that a cruise control on a Vanagon is only good on the flat. The cruise on my '90 Westy stock 21.L WBX takes me over Snoqualmie Pass on cruise all the way. I pull it down to 2nd (automatic) and just sit back and drive. I have driven many, many miles, many up and down hill, with the cruise doing it's job. But not on winding, twisty roads. No cruise there.
