As sent to GoWesty (Comments on parentheses are added now for clarity): 1984 Vanagon with Wolfsburg instrument cluster. Feedback from a technical writer Step 9 is unclear. Showing the slit tubing in place would enhance the written instructions. (You are making a light gasket along the two vertical sides of the white LED insert.) Step 10: Telling the installer how to remove the blue lens would help. (Remove above mentioned insert and use a punch to knock it out from the front.) Step 13: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE label the wire colors in the illustration. Brown and Purple in the picture look surprisingly alike in artificial light. I assume Purple, white, white, brown, yellow/red from left to right. Why make the installer guess? (The above color code seems to be correct. The illustrations throughout are photos.) Step 14 should be added to Step 10. Step 10, install the main PCB. Step 14, “THIS IS IMPORTANT”…. check the switch position that is now on the underside of the board installed in Step 10. Step 14a, remove the main PCB that was installed in step 10. Step 14 b, check the above switch. Since this bus doesn’t have dynamic OP sensor, move switch. Step 14c: reinstall the main PCB that was removed in step 14a per the instructions in Step 10. Other than the above, no complaints. Installed. About 1.5 hours from start to finish. Thanks for making these. > On Dec 21, 2014, at 11:12 AM, Stuart MacMillan <stuartmacm@gmail.com> wrote: > > That's great! Others have commented on the instructions and done the same > thing.
