Yes, and it's far better to cut the tab than to break the exhaust stud trying to get it out. Stuart -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of SDF ( aka ;jim lahey' - Scott ) take it apart first ..I strongly suggest. that way you will know exactly what's what when you go to get parts. if there is a lot of corrosion... 2 things come to mind... start spraying exhuast nuts/ studs with penetrating oil right away .. and frequently. they secure the upper tabs (they'll work just fine with only one upper tab btw ) and get badly, badly rusted in my experience. possible rusted-through pushrod tube if you live in that kind of environment. |
