re: oil pressure warning wiring et al. My thought was it might've gotten disturbed during the paint job but can't really imagine how. Hopeful thinking.

Assuming the white 14 pin connector was connected to the instrument cluster, I can't see how (if they were) disconnected headlight and blinker connectors would affect the oil pressure warning system but then I don't have a wiring diagram in front of me. Anyhow.....
