The easy to find out is to show up. Historically, it was an excuse for a bunch of Vanagon enthusiasts to get together when there were no other VW events going on. We would start in the late afternoon and conclude around dinner time. There would often be a bonfire of some sort. Sometimes with unwanted Christmas trees, old redwood fence boards (no nails please), bits of magnesium, and other illicit substances. Nowadays, it's ten times bigger. We have people attending from one end of the country to the other. We often have enthusiasts from overseas as well.
