I really like my analogue clock. It is very accurate.

It isn't hard to wire a separate positive wire to the clock. I imagine the same could be done for the negative connection. However. Doing that might provide a small "surprise" for the next owner when they remove the instrument cluster. On my '81 Westy, I installed a coolant gauge in the clock face area. This required that I run a new long fused wire to the positive connection on the clock; there is a male push on connector at the clock. IIRC I had connected this wire to an existing fuse at the OEM fuse panel. The clock draws very little power.

With the instrument cluster apart, when re-installing the clock, I found that if the ground connection of the blue foil was incorrectly installed above the brass tab on the clock, the clock would not run.
