That episode is a repeat and got big notice on Samba the first time around.  It certainly provided more, and more varied, Vanagon screen time than could be reasonably be expected.  Guys messing with the underdash wiring, throwing up the engine cover and fussing with engine, and driving interior shots later following the exterior shot of it arriving to pick up the rest of the team.  Seriously, when did you last seen a Vanagon engine cover onscreen?  My bride is always calling out inconsistencies in movies and shows and I'm always exhorting "suspension of disbelief" to improve enjoyment of the program.  Just accept the premise and go with it.  When they got it running she cheered, "Suspension of disbelief!"
