That episode is a repeat and got big notice on Samba the first time around.  It certainly provided more, and more varied, Vanagon screen time than could be reasonably be expected.  Guys messing with the underdash wiring, throwing up the engine cover and fussing with engine, and driving interior shots later following the exterior shot of it arriving to pick up the rest of the team.  Seriously, when did you last seen a Vanagon engine cover onscreen?  My bride is always calling out inconsistencies in movies and shows and I'm always exhorting "suspension of disbelief" to improve enjoyment of the program.  Just accept the premise and go with it.  When they got it running she cheered, "Suspension of disbelief!" On the CBS show Scorpion the other night, the good guys stole a vanagon from the bad guys to make their getaway.   The details were rather silly.  At first it wouldn't start because the alternator belt was broken, but they braided one out of paper.  Then they hotwired it under the steering column with no attention to the steering wheel lock.   The shots of the engine compartment looked realistic, but the sound of the engine was all wrong.
