Think you mean I-80 across Wyoming. And yes, the snow drift barricades west of Cheyenne would be the first sign that you are entering a region of potential nasty winter situations. 

I think that section between Laramie and Rawlins was the least populated section of road I’ve traveled on, on an Interstate.
