Subject: Did I receive the correct stainless steel coolant pipes?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

Hey guys,

I just got my SS pipes from RMW in the mail this week. Im nervous I may have gotten the wrong pipes and want to verify with you guys before I try to install and it ends up ruining my week.

I ordered pipes for 86-91 2WD. All the stock photos I see on venders websites show the pipes for these models to be pretty much symmetrical and the same length, However the ones I received are quite different. The main difference is in the pipe with the bigger bend, One is at least 12 - 14 inches shorter than the other and has a significantly smaller bend. The pipes I received look similar to RMW's stock photos for their 84-85 pipes: http://www.rockymountainwesty.com/Vanagon_Stainless_Steel_Coolant_Transfer_Tubes_p/rmw-ctt84.htm

You can see their stock photo (along with all other venders) show that the 86-91 pipes are roughly the same shape and length: http://www.rockymountainwesty.com/Vanagon_Stainless_Steel_Coolant_Transfer_Tubes_p/rmw-ctt01.htm

Joe At RMW assures me the pipes will fit my '87 and said the only difference is the OD of the tubes. The pipes I received have an OD of 1.5 inch which he says will fit my van and the shape/length differences I see in stock photos from various venders are inaccurate.

Can Someone please set me at ease and assure me that I got the correct pipes? I can send you pictures of the pipes if needed

Cheers, Kevin
