I did something similar on the '85 I parted out but had to bend the mount brackets so the bolt stub could clear the bracket. I'm hoping a carbide tip plunge blade image: http://tinyurl.com/p6rn5ks on my oscillating tool will work. Cutting out some of the bushing rubber allowed me to see what I was cutting. It was tough to see in there but it seemed that wedging a screwdriver (cold chisel might be better?) in between a bracket ear and bushing allowed me to get my hacksaw blade onto the bolt itself and not waste time cutting the bushing sleeve. Though unlikely, doing so may crack the pain at these brackets, but then I'll likely top coat them with rust paint. Neil.
