Subject:      Rear window vents

After searching the archives, I haven't found anyone who has successfully
refurbished the rear window vents. I'm putting a used set into my 85, and
would like to replace the crumbling foam filter inside. Unfortunately, these
vents appear to be glued together with no way to seperate the 2 halfs. Damn!!
Has anyone successfully seperated these vents and reassembled them!?!?

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
