It was a fine event this year, with very nice daytime weather and nights
not so cold as in other years. At dawn on Sat I walked all around and
attempted to count just the Vanagons that had arrived by then. I saw 110
including a few truck versions. Of course even more arrived later on
Sat. The hot air balloon festival was in town again and that really adds
some color to the festivities. There was so little wind this year that
the balloons were more numerous even in the late afternoons.




Here is somebody's video made while they walked around. They did not go
by Vanagon gulch where we camped with close to 50 others.
