Hey all- remember I asked about a noisy fuel pump. Well, it did not stay quiet for long. It is pretty noisy but was running fine. Now we are within range of our own garage and it is acting up. We are in a 1985 2wd. We have a 6 year old tank, a 2 year old fuel pump, a post-pump filter, 7mm nipple tank. Missing, running rough, etc. Questions- 1. What does a dying fuel pump do? 2. How long does a fuel tank last before needing cleaning or replacement? 3. Is it worth changing to the 12mm nipple tank instead of the 7mm we have? Parts are ordered and ready. We can roll her into Clarkdale. It will be good to visit friends and family for a bit. But we don't want to spend more than we need to in order to get reliably back on the road.
