There has been quite a bit of discussion about where and how to wire in a
CO detector.
One alternative is to get one that doesnıt need to be wired at all.

It is about $50.
The CO detector typically doesnıt last forever, anyway, so by the time
this battery dies you probably should get a new detector anyway.
And, ten years from now, if you are still driving your 1980s Westy you
probably *deserve* to throw yourself a party and buy a new detector. It
will be the year 2025, so all the other cars will by flying by then, right?
I realize, however, that some of the discussion has been about combined
propane and CO detectors, and these donıt do that part.
