Subject: Syncro 30 Year Anniversary Road Trip in Germany!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
This year is the 30th anniversary of the Vanagon Syncro. To celebrate a
group of Syncro owners is meeting in Germany for an epic road trip. I
really want to go even though I don't actually own a Syncro at the moment
(does working on them a lot count at all?) Here are the details I have so
far:
Germany Roundtrip Syncro 30 Years
Dear Syncronauts,
Within the scope of the Syncro 30 Years gathering, the German Community of
Interest Syncro 16” (Interessengemeinschaft syncro 16”, or IG syncro 16”)
would like to take the opportunity to introduce Germany as a travel
destination.
As announced earlier, the gathering itself will be held near Berlin from 14
to 16 August 2015. More details on the gathering in English as soon as the
English website will be ready.
Following the gathering, we will offer a 10 day Germany round trip. We will
start on Sunday, 16 August 2015 in Jüterbog (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jüterbog).
We will first and foremost offer this round trip to visitors from abroad,
but participants from Germany will also be welcome to take part in the
event.
We will travel in groups of eight to ten vehicles and meet at the points of
interest as well as on the campgrounds in the evenings. The maximum number
will be 40 Syncros. The daily stage will not be more than approx. 300
km/185 miles. This will allow us to have enough time to visit sights along
the way and to spend time together.
Our first stop will be Dresden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dresden). On
Monday, we will continue our journey along the Czech border. We will pass
through Bayreuth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayreuth) and reach Munich (
