My experience wasn't so fun the first time with a face full of coolant from underneath. :(

The biggest problem was that the stupid sender grommet stuck in the hole and didn't come out with the sender so be ready for that. I'd just put a tub underneath to collect the drippage as much as you can and do the swap as quickly as you can. But have a needle nose plier or something similar for yanking the grommet out ready if it doesn't do so.
