The trick to using heat on situations like this is to be able to heat the outer nut fast enough for it to expand before the heat also expands the inner part being removed. Do be aware that if the threads gall you may need to replace the catalyst. Before doing this job at the very least have an 18mm spark plug thread chaser handy or a tap. Some additional nickel base anti size on the threads will help next time. Be absolutely sure none of that gets inside or on the sensor end. Anything in there will contaminate and ruin it. Dennis
