"Preaching to the choir" ? I appreciate the agreement. I've not
encountered many VW vans with generators, but there are some.
Organized formal camps often have "generator hours". It just amazes me
that people are so 'unintentionally' rude..It seems to go right over their
heads that someone might want to sit outside and enjoy nature without a
background drone. I've actually asked a couple of people if they would
perhaps shut their generators down, and I've never had a civil response..
The best answer I got was a few years back from a guy with a noisy
one....He would fire it up and leave for hours.....Asked him very
politely. His answer made my jaw drop! He said something on the lines
of..." I don't like the noise, so I always leave it on and go away so I
don't have to hear it"
Anyhow, that's my Rap...generators are noisy and a big imposition on
others. On a still desert evening you can hear a Briggs for miles and a
Honda for about one mile....I have 3 I hear going within earshot as I post,
