Like Neal mentioned you absolutely need to secure the shaft. The rack isn't designed to take any rotational torque on the shaft at all. Grab it just after the end of the tie rod. Try a rag and channel locks (big ones). The key is to grab it where if you do make some gouges in the surface. It's on a sections that doesn't pass thru the seal on the rack body. Bill |
