I have used similar tactics. My response to one Mo Ho who generated nearby without a thought was to fire up both our dirtbikes with the exhaust pointed at his bedroom at 5am, and let them idle till he got up and finally killed his cheapo gen set after running it all night, for some reason.

My camping rarely includes formal campsites. I've left my van in all it's Asuan Brown paint because it's harder to notice. I selected a tin top just because tent-sided campers I've had in the past were not good in noisy situations. It seems like people are herd-animals, so we've been "camped-on" in very remote sites, and often they set up *really* close when there are hundreds of square miles that they could have camped without sending us a 'sonic toothache'. I carry ear plugs. It's not really possible to always evade generator people...we do our best to select sites, but even now, 10 miles out from the nearest town on desert land I have three gens going within earshot. Sheesh. On Feb 5, 2015 9:56 PM, "OlRivrRat" <OlRivrRat@comcast.net> wrote:
