Mine has a knock sensor. It's NOT a WBX . The Ems came mostly from a 92 Cabriolet. I had the option to try to install the stuff from that ABA motor I have ($300 complete!) but I could see no reason to do that, and judging from the problems others have struggled with when doing that, I'm glad I didn't waste all that time....Theirs seem to work just like mine does, except mine swapped in in one day, and drove away the next. It *could* be the inline works better....grin...I know I can certainly tell the sound of a WBX motor
