Curious why you would be asking. Are you now getting a Diesel? As for getting a lemon I doubt there is any engine or transmission rebuilder that has never had a problem. From my experience with any of the Canada rebuilds over the years there where many consistencies for both engines and transmissions. I once installed a VW reman transmission on a Passat that was bad on install. Worked fine until it warmed up . VW put me through some grief before admitting it was bad. For engines that I saw with premature failures or problems there was always some outside cause. Even the cheapy rebuilds tend to have this situation.

Hi all. I searched a little but did not find any user input. If I recall, VW of Canada (or America) remanufactured 1.6 NA diesels. Any user experience with these? i.e. anyone end up with a lemon VWoC 1.6 NA diesel reman?

Thanks,

Neil.
