I'm planning to remove my carpet and am wondering how big of a project it is.

Can anyone tell me how many sections there are?

Also,

Is it imperative that I remove the front cabinet in order to remove the driver's side section?

It appears the front cabinet isn't extremely tight against the pedestal but I cannot tell if the carpet is secured down in the outer corner.

While I'm 'at it'. What kind of maintenance, inspection, changes should I make on the deck or surroundings while the carpet is out?

Please/thanks!
