Changed the oil cooler seal, no leaks. Changed two pushrod tubes that were leaking. Put everything back in place, adjusted the valves, put 20-50 oil in the engine, and went for a test drive. All seem well. However, on the second drive of several miles, at a stop light, the oil light flashed, and continued to flash erratically. I immediately pulled of the road and checked the oil. It was halfway between the marks. Started up with no problems, and went home. About a mile out, at a down hill ramp to a stop light, the oil light started to flcker again. I drove to the nearest store parking lot and turned it off. Started again and oil light was ok. Drove home and it was fine. That was yesterday. The episode repeated itself today. Any one know whats up with this. Oil light flicker has never happened before this work was done. John |
